Got around to trying out the idea Jim had to paint the headlights white. I loved how it looked from his pictures but I had to see it in person first. I grabbed a can of GM paint, what I am sure was the 40U Ivory White. But it came out looking like the 16U Bright White. I know I've had both paints at some point but I was sure I was out of the 16U. Anyhow, this gave me the idea of what it'll look like and I love it. But it's not going to work out if it doesn't exactly match in color. Took these pictures without the lens on the outside. This was one of my spare headlights, and the lens is so dirty it made this look yellow...

Took the car to a Buick/Pontiac/GMC body shop for pin stripes on Thursday and asked for an estimate to paint the plastic headlight frame to match the car, I was told $40 for both. :)

You have the "Bright White" or "Arctic White" both have the same 16U paint code. That's the color of my '93. My '01 is 40U which is "Ivory White". I've only seen two Bright White '00+ in person, I don't think it's all that common of a color. Jim you've got the perfect color combo IMO, Bright White & Camel interior. I couldn't even find a white car even with the tan interior.

Had them painted last week. $40 under the table for both of them. Came out near perfect. I found a finger print on one of them but I'm not worried about it since you have to really search to find it. The passenger side looks perfect, the drivers side looks yellowed out because of the lense. I'll have to wet sand it and re-polish it. But otherwise I think it looks awesome.

Is it the angle, or is the one on the left lighter than the one on the right? The right side looks more of an ivory. Otherwise they look good!
