Planning on purchasing a set of 18" rims for the Bonneville, I have narrowed it down to two choices.

You couldn't get a straight on side shot of both the rims and the car, could you? It's a PITA to deal with goofy angles in PS. At least for me it is.

IMO, black rims only work on a black car.

And I agree with Ed, the angles make it much harder.

I agree with Andrew, black rims on a black car only, at least those black rims. My vote is for the chrome.

Off topic: I notice you have different center caps in those pictures did your 01 have the carbon fiber ones when you got it?

I think the Black would look pretty good on that car, TBH. More contrast than chrome. I put black wheels on a Red Tahoe, so maybe it's just me......

Chrome. If the black is a "black chrome" RUN LIKE HELL it wont be long before they give you problems.

Chrome. Then use cheap brake pads and they'll be black in 2 weeks. Wash car....chrome again. You can have the best of both worlds every 2 weeks. :P

I say chrome. There just isn't enough dark on that car to properly tie in the black rims. If you had tinted windows, cleared corners, maybe one or two other small changes, then I may lean towards the black.

Gordy, he does have clear corners. The side view pic is of when he first got the car......

LOL.. I see that now. I'll still go with the chrome, but the black do look better with the clear corners imo.

the black ones look like you have extensive brake dust on them.

Agree with Andrew, black on black cars only (maybe white), chrome on every other.

chrome...

I did black on my white car, and am now regretting it, not in love with it. I would rather have chrome.
