I was wonder if anyone had installed or tried to install an aftermarket shifter like a B&M or Hurst setup. Did some thread searching but couldn't find anything.

IMO, it wouldn't do anything. They're not really designed for FWD tranny's, and your stock shifter is good enough. If you want to modify it, get a 2000+ shifter knob.

A guy did it 5 years ago on the old site. It was pretty slick, good for shifting when you want to. It's a nice custom touch.

It was on a 92-95.

Yeah not lookin for any performance upgrade I've just always like the hurst T-handle or B&M T-handle sytle shifters. Anyone know if the shifter is the same setup as an F-body cause I like the T-handles on the mid 90's trans ams and it still has the button on the one side for shifting.

If it's the T-handle shift knob you are looking for I have one here. Really nice shape.
Send me a pm and we can discuss my relinquishing ownership.

FYI, the hurst shifter installed in the past by an old member wasn't a pretty install at all, and even if it had been, it looked like crap. My opinion.

I've converted both of my cars to 2k shifters. T-handles with a shorter-throw release, finger grooves, and a whole lot more ergonomic.
