Are badge overlays best professionally applied or can I do it myself?

DIY. I did the 05' SLE badges I got with a chrome overlay and it came out great, that is, if you are talking about buying ones pre-made and sticking them on. IIRC Nholds makes them? I might be remembering wrong...it's been a while...

Take your time, make sure everything is lined up and you should be fine. Be sure the surface you're applying them to is clean. I used isopropyl alcohol on mine. I've had mine on for about a year and a half, pressure washing and all. No peeling or any other problem.

I also got mine from NHolds. PM him here or visit his website:

or, go directly to the badge overlay section at:

I was told to cut each letter of "S" "S" "E" "i" and "SUPERCHARGED" separately and apply each one at a time. Worked great.

i guess i never really thought of doing one letter at a time...would make life a lot easier, although i got both of mine to line up pretty well.

Here is a picture of my car (gotta love gravel roads). I'm thinking chrome overlays would look good. I looked at the flaming decals website and there are no overlays specifically for impalas. I pm'ed NHolds this afternoon to see what he can do and am waiting for his reply.
