I have a 1980 bonneville brougham with the original 15 inch snow flake rims, the tire sizes are p205/75 and I'm having trouble finding replacements as the size isn't very popular for passenger vehicles anymore.

What tires/sizes have you used on your classics?

Thanks,

Hans

Not many classic Bonnevilles around here, mostly front drive from 1987 - 2005. That said though we would love to see some pics of yours!

Check this site out for ideas on alternative tire sizes, enter in your current size and play around with the alternative sizes to see what different width and aspect ratio would match or be close to your original diameter to keep your speedometer right. http://www.miata.net/garage/tirecalc.html

Thanks for the link, that should be helpful. I'll take some pictures when the sun is shining. It's in better than good condition, has always been stored inside, much is original yet.

I just did a quick search, it looks like the 205/75R15's are still around, but pickings are slim as you mentioned. Plenty of 90's vehicles have used the 215/70R15, so there is much more options in that size, and according to the tire calculator, it is slightly wider, but also slightly shorter.

Wow! I guess I've been working on new tires for 5 years now! I've done a lot of other stuff, but it was finally time for new tires and I ended up going with Hankook Optimos in the original factory size of 205/75. Ultimately I chose Hankook for the price ($53/tire) and the fact that they were whitewalls.

Wow, down in my parts, a new set of tires is toast in 5 years from dryrot alone!

Thank you for following up on it though!
