Year and Trim: 2005 Bonneville GXP
When I changed my oil I noticed a leak that appears to be coming from the oil cooler lines attached to the oil filter adapter. I checked and they are snug. Are there o rings or something similar that can be replaced or is there another way of fixing it? Thanks

The lines themselves are a very common failure. Replace with new OEM lines.

Thanks. How hard is that to do? I know I have the mechanical ability, but I don’t have the tiny baby hands that sometimes are needed in the case of otherwise easy jobs.

Ordered the hoses, but now I am feeling a bit stupid. What does the cooler look like? Is it in front of or behind the radiator? I looked under the hood and was unable to see anything that looked like an oil cooler. Only thing I saw was a piece of tubing that looked like a power steering cooler. Also, do you have to remove the upper radiator hose to remove the fans?

Just trying to plan out how much time to set aside for the repair. I could have pulled it up on the ramps and just followed the lines, but I haven’t gotten around to it and l like to know what I am getting into before starting.

It is part of the radiator, the lines go into the plastic tank on the side.

You should be able to move the upper radiator hose out of the way.

Mitchell is claiming 4 hours but I don't think it should take that long even for a first timer.
