I have a 5th cylinder misfire (P0305) and it's been a fairly consistent code, but I guess it's a good idea to replace all of the ignition coils at the same time, along with the spark plugs, but my question is which ignition coils will be an original replacement and not require a wiring kit? My choices are:
I've had good luck with Delphi parts
https://www.rockauto.com/en/moreinfo.ph ... 060&jsn=23

And this one, apparently an OEM replacement:

There's also an NGK one, while I've used their spark plugs I suspect I'll probably need to change the wiring to accommodate them.

Please let me know what you all think.

As far as I know, none of them will require a wiring kit. They come with the updated wiring for the updated coil connector. The older white cap coils won't work with that harness.

Ehhh... hypothetically, if I still have the white cap coils in my car, does that mean the harness I have won't work with any of these coils?

Correct....but the the coils you listed all come with their own harnesses.

I'm SO confused with this car. I still haven't found any good documentation; a used shop manual for the Bonneville is like $400, Helm only has a generic GM Manual, so every time I looked under the hood I just say "Nope" and close it back up.
Rockauto is suggesting I buy this with the coil pack:
https://www.rockauto.com/en/moreinfo.php?pk=5237208
Any particular reason?
Also, when I buy the coil packs, are they specific for the front/rear bank or are they both identical?

Front and rear are identical. Any of the 3 product links from your first post will work for either bank, with no modifications to wiring. They are plug and play as an assembly. However, if you have any good white top coils that you wanted to use a spare, they will not plug into the harness as the updated coils use a different connector.

Sorry, a little late on this. Not sure what you're asking. All links above are plug and play. No wiring/rewiring needed.

The links you post above are the entire "Cartridge" assembly as GM likes to call it. All 4 coils are mounted to the aluminum bracket and connected to the harness. You just then connect the one main connector to the main wiring harness (the big 7 pin connector) in the upper corner of the assembly.

Not sure why you're buying this though. You can buy the coils individually. Which again, you'd just unscrew the one bolt holding the coil to the "cartridge", disconnect the individual coil connector and R&R.

What fails in them, is the spring contactor (which is what contacts the top of the plug). I've been through 4 on my V.

Here is a better pic of the "cartridge" with one of my coils removed so you can see the wiring on it and can see that you will have to do no wiring.

If you have a single white top coil go bad, you have to replace the entire bank with the updated black top because the wiring connectors are different.
