Greetings all. I have some questions regarding how to diagnose some issues with my suspension.

Particulars:
'05 GXP
~168K miles

Bumps and some unlevel cornering have revealed some instability with my suspension. I had to replace my rear socks/struts a few years back as they went out and became noticeable when going over speed bumps. I replaced them with the "all-in-one" units.

What I'm largely in need of is steps and/or tips for diagnosing the problem that I "think" may be part of the front suspension. Regarding how the car feels when this happens, it feels like the car 'sways' a bit and then recovers.

Thanks in advance!
Greg

Your front struts are most likely worn out as well, especially at that mileage.

You will need to purchase a strut and strut mount for each side and swap your springs.

The quick struts that are preassembled will not work, they raise the front of the car noticeably and cause all sorts of other problems.

swap == switch sides or replace?

Thanks for the confirmation of what I had suspected to be my problem. Is there anything already written up as far as the removal/replacement process?

I think he means pull the springs off your old struts and install them on the new (springless) struts.
