Year and Trim: 2005 GXP
I would like to disable my onstar gps tracking system, but i'm not sure if disabling it would cause any issues. I wanted to ask if anyone knows the proper method (if any) to disable the onstar completely without causing any issues. I do not use/need OnStar, nor do i want them to be able to know where i am at any given time. Thanks for your help guys. Btw, i have a 2005 bonneville gxp :)

note: i have done a google search and found that you can just unplug the onstar system that's located in the trunk, but i just wanted to run it by you guys to see if it would cause any system/operation issues
