Does anyone know the readings you should get from the Front impact sensor? I'm guessing it's the same sensor for either the regular Bonne or the GXP. Mine has a number on it 25764117.

I'm reading 11.63 Meg Ohms one way and open the other... I think it's correct to have open one way and resistance the other but I don't know what the measurement should be. I'm trying to figure out why my airbag light is on. I have no codes showing currently with the scan tool but I seem to recall getting a code when it first happened long long ago (maybe 2 or more years ago now) with something about the front sensor. I never bothered to try to get to the bottom of it yet but I'm finally getting around to fixing all the little annoyances.

I checked the 15A fuse and that is good. I reseated the connector and put the fuse back in and started the car and the light flashed and went out and I thought yay I fixed it then it came back on about a second later.

I just don't want to part with upwards of $120 to replace a part that may not be bad.

Any suggestions?

Rich

Get a scantool that can properly read the body codes. A regular code reader will not do it. You're only throwing the parts cannon until you get the code.

Well I found a sensor on ebay for $79 matching my part number with a return policy. I took a chance and ordered it. I forgot to test what the measurement should be but I replaced the sensor and no more air bag light. Problem solved!
