Calling Bonnie GXP owners. Few questions about my 05.
1* drivers Heated seat fix, stays on for a 1 second when button is pushed then goes off passenger side works as it should.
2* fog lights don't work, when I Push the button it somehow controls all the lights i.e. as if I manually turned on the lights, drls do illuminate normally and ambient sensor turns lights on as it should at night.
3* compass will periodically call for re-calibration, would like to know what's up with that, haha

1) Something is probably shorting out, most likely in the seat element.

2) Fog lights not working, shocker! There is a whole thread stuck at the top of this section discussing the bane of GXP owners existence. Blown fog lights.

3) Mine did this all the time. Particularly at change of seasons when sudden temp swings occured. Just an electronic gremlin and something where I got to the point of not recalibrating it. I just let it do what it wanted and after a couple times driving it, it was back to normal.

1. Check the common problems section. It is a broken element under the leather. Not a bad fix. Just have to find the break.

2. Lane has this covered. lol

3. Do you have a subwoofer in the car?

Mine for a period of time kept requiring compass recalibration. The compass module under the rear shelf was replaced under warranty many years ago and I've never had a problem since. Having said this, Carl's question about a subwoofer (or other aftermarket speakers with stronger magnets) is valid. This can very much affect how well the compass works.

Hey sorry I just got that email informing me of responses to this. I thought I saw something of a common problem with the element. But I have a hard time navigating on my cell phone, and my computer is on the fritz. I will try and find the section of common issues.
I recalibrated the compass... again, will see how long she holds
I have no sub woofer, everything except for a muffler delete is completely factory.
Well also a fancy new Northstar emblem on the deck lid, haha
