Not sure where to look for this and I didn't see it in the electrical tech section. 05 GXP. Seems to do different things at different times when exiting the car after turning the ignition to 'OFF'. Most of the time when I turn the key off the engine continues to run for about 5 seconds which I assume is normal? When I open the door (ign. off) most of the time the radio shuts off, only once has it continued to play and I had to open and shut the door again and it went off. Once I had to restart the car and shut it off then open the door and the radio went off. Wife says the other day she turned the ignition off, opened the door and the engine didn't shut off and she had to put the key back in and turn it to run and then off and then it turned off. Thanks

Mine sometimes doesn't shut the radio (and courtesy lights) off when I open the door
to exit the vehicle. I assume it is a switch in the door latch or maybe the
door module tells the retained power module when to cut the retained power,
and it is acting up.
Anyway, I had some thief take a screw driver to my exterior latch trying to
break in, and I just assumed that started my problem.
I have never tried to shut off the ignition with the key and had the engine
keep running. I wonder if they are related or not.

Also when UN-locking the doors with the key and opening the drivers door, the interior lights don't come on. Not using the key fob to unlock car because that system still isn't functioning as it should with the Driver 1, Driver 2 deal.

The radio not shutting off is a switch on the door latch. I believe there are 2 switches one for the driver information center (it knows the door is shut) and one the computer uses for courtesy lights and turning off the radio. If you play with the door latch you can get it to shut off. My dome lights wouldn't shut off one morning at 5am when it was pitch dark. Never fixed it just know how to get it to work when it happens.

Sounds like maybe it needs a little cleaning/lube to fix? So the switch is actually part of the door latch mechanism?

Next time I hit the junkyard I was going to grab a new latch mechanism
for the door and see if that will solve the issue. They are a little
bit of a pain to install however.

I was at the junkyard about 3 weeks ago and they had an 05 Bonneville there that had been hit in the left front (and not that hard) that I got several items off of and went there the other day and it was gone. Gotta figure a body shop bought it. Bummer.
