According to the readout from the code puller its listed as HISTORY and CURRENT from the ECU. So I'm gonna assume I need a transmission fluid+filter change?

I also have the Bank 1 + 2 Lean codes come up too. Since Its both banks and they are lean I'm going to assume its a vacuum leak downstream of the MAF or an O2 sensors issue. I cleaned the MAF, but who knows if that worked.

Yes on the later, I will have to look up 897. It can be a history code and current code at the same time. Is it commanding your CEL on? If so, I'm not sure why.

I don't know if its commanding the CEL. It comes on and goes off every few days. I assumed the CEL was being commanded by the lean codes, because that seems like an issue that wouldn't remain as constant depending on atmospheric and driving conditions. Thats just my reasoning behind the SES/CE light coming and going.

Yes. That is driven by the lean codes (P0171 or P0174).

If it's intermittent with the change in weather, I'd lean towards dirty HO2S's. A leak post MAF is a leak regardless of temps outside (generally).

So whats the procedure? Should I replace the HO2s? How many and where are they located on this car?

Clean them first. Some electronics cleaner will work. Douse them good (the fluted/holed part that is in the exhaust stream), let them dry, put them back in.

How long that'll work before they flag again is anyones guess. I've had them never have issues again. I've had others like my Suburban that gave me a fit a month later. At which point, I then replaced them.

Intake and throttle body gaskets that are leaking will also cause the lean
codes on both banks. There is also a PCV tube that runs under
(yes under) the intake manifold that breaks down from heat
and leaks.

That usually a constant issue though (any leak post MAF). HO2S's can be intermittent, which is what I believe he is having.
