Well, thanks for the feedback. I guess that the money that I would spend on that swap could just go towards a nice 3rd gen Camaro like I really want. I think the kid in me is dying hard and I just want a car that gives me a stupid grin.

Honestly, this car isn't paid off so selling it would be difficult. That's what I really want to do, but it isn't really an option right now...

Get a cheap fixer-upper or a toy. Keep your DD a DD. I've learned this lesson with my car. No point in having the fastest car in the work parking lot when you can have the nicest car on Saturday night. ;)

I was also going to say this awhile back. Leave the Bonneville alone. It really isn't meant to be a garage queen or turned into a boulevard brawler. Just keep it a nice DD, and go out and get something you can "build" that is really going to be something (3rd gen as you mentioned), or some other form of actual muscle/performance car.

From the guy who modded his DD to "Summer Driver" status...

Yea, slight difference between that car and a Bonneville though... About the only things they have in common are the 4 doors and that they are made by GM... Also the fact that I'm fortunate enough to have the means to relegate it to such use. I'm not having to spend time and money completely re-engineering the car to do something it wasn't originally designed or intended to do.
