Hey guys, just recently the "service stability system" came on in my DIC, but when I hit the select button it goes away. Now today was the second time it came up, but again it went away after hitting the select button. Has anyone else had this happen? Do you know what would cause this? I'm just wondering how concerned I should be because the manual just says if it goes off and you turn off the engine, but it doesn't come back on right away when you turn the car back on, it's most likely a fluke in the system. Not sure if I should get it looked at. Thanks for the help.

If the light comes on, the system is off. It will only come on once per key cycle. You'll have to go to your dealer to get it scanned, more than likely the Steering Wheel Position Sensor.

It works in conjunction with the yaw sensor(s) and the wheel speed sensors to tell the Stability System if your car is moving too quickly in a direction the car shouldn't be going (sliding, spinning, etc), and the system can/will then apply brakes or cut throttle to help put the car back in line.
