I've already converted the low beams to HID and am very happy. I'm going to change the hi and fogs now and am reading about the fog kits having an H3 or H3C version. From what Ive read the difference is a matter of how the leads are attached. Anyone know if the H3C would fit better, or is this really not an issue?

From what I understand, no. Though you may wish the H3C was oriented sideways because the filament is orientated sideways compared to the H3. Because of the arc location it puts out less light but is ridiculously expensive and is known to explode in less than a year. I'd stick with the H3 myself but then I have no inclination to convert to HID at all.
Maybe someone else has actual experience with the H3C tho.

When replacing the fogs do they just twist out or does any part of the housing need removed first?

The little metal clip on the housing needs to be squeezed together to allow it to swing away from the housing.

I finally installed my HID fog lights today. Installation was straight forward after I figured out that I had to use the old fog light caps as an "adapter" between the wiring harness and the new ballast. My thanks again to everyone who contributed to this thread.

Since I started using my new fog lights, I've noticed some different behavior concerning the auto head lights. This morning on the way to work, it was a little foggy, so I turned on the fog lights and of course the headlights were on. However, if I turned the fog lights off then the auto headlights would also turn off. If I turned the fogs back on, then the auto headlights would immediately come back on. It seems the fog lights are turning on the auto headlights and not the other way around? Is this normal behavior? Thanks!

In order for the fogs to be on, either the parking lights or headlights HAVE to be on. So in ALC mode, by turning on the fogs, it is commanding on/off the headlights also.

So are these HID or LED bulbs?

They are HID bulbs. I bought the kit from http://lumenshid.com/

Oh, don't worry, they're brighter. Any HID will have more lumen output than a halogen equivalent.

A regular H3 bulb will have around 1,500 lumens and be 3,100k. If this is is a 35w kit, I wouldn't be surprised if those are nearly twice the lumen output.

This kit actually claims they are at least 3 times brighter. They are really good for winter driving at night too, as they reflect off of the snow. http://lumenshid.com/hid.html

I think 3x is kinda stretching it. Safely I would say at least twice. Most 35w kits pretty much double up lumen output. This isn't their "proprietary kit" They're all pretty much the same universal stuff be it Morimoto, DDM, this place, etc...

2 or 3 doesn't really matter to me. All I know is that they are FAR brighter than the original H3s, and driving at night now is a whole new experience when they are on.

One thing I will say is that they need their own specific ground. Trying to piggy back the ground wire onto another connection, does not work well.

I put LED fogs kit by OPT7 in my 2008 Pontiac G8 GT and they perform wonderfully.
https://www.bestadvisor.com/led-fog-lights
They come on instantly, unlike the HIDs I used to have, and they produce more light.
Doesn't get hot and water resistant which is great for the Miami weather. If someone still doing research, I would recommend them without a doubt.

I love LED's, especially as their technology is advancing quickly, but two things;

1) They list brightness as 3,500... 3,500 what? Lumen? Horsepower? Spoons?
2) It is a fan cooled unit in that base. Where the fog lights are located in the car are prone to moisture and or even splashed water slush, etc... I predict a short fan life, which then will deteriorate the actual bulb life.
