Hey all, First off I have a saturn not the bonneville, but that wont matter for this question anyway.

I use the pioneer GEX-P920XM (http://www.crutchfield.com/S-zVBP6hXXgG ... 920XM.html) and my question is about getting power to the unit. It requires you give it power and ground like an amp would. Ive always had subs in my car as well, and I used a splitter from the amp's power cable and hooked the xm power into it. This has always worked without any problems. In the saturn however I wont be installing my subs just he head unit and xm adapter. Should I still have to run a power cable from the battery to power the adapter or is there another way to power it?

I have the same setup with my pioneer, I hooked up the power to the power wire off the back of the deck.(Im not sure the color just make sure theres only power when the car is running) And I just had a ground off one of the kick panel grounds or the antenna ground in the trunk.

It a pretty interesting how all of the pioneer units interconnect to each other

Yea between that and the ipod adaptor running wires can be a pain :)

So just so I understand, you just spliced it into to the power that goes tot he deck?

ok i worked at circuit city for two years in the car audio sales/install bay with pioneer decks they have three wires you can connect to:

yellow= ACC power (switched power when ignition is in run or accessory this has power)
blue= power antenna (also powered constanly when in run or acc)
blue/white= remote wire for added accessories like amps, ipod adapter, XM, Sirius, etc.

black= is your ground

so i would hook the positive lead of your XM to the blue/white (blue with white stripe) and the negative lead to black

this is how i hooked up amps, sat. radio, and ipod adapters

Ok the instructions say to hook the power up to a terminal always supplied with power regardless of ignition switch position, so would that be the blue/white or the yellow?
