Car is a 2004 Bonneville SLE with On-Star Hi everyone,I have a unique problem,I have installed a Alpine ute-62-bt hu using a PAC rp3-gm13 data-bus interface (Non-Onstar interface ) got everything wired up after some modification of the dash cavity.. and now my dual climate control will not work nor will the display light up, so i pulled the HU out and checked the factory wiring harness and the was a purple small wire that had been cut while i was cutting some of the cavity out to fit the HU in. i reconnected that wire and still no climate control..my air-conditioner blows all the time whenever i turn my car on...I have checked all the fuses and none are blowin...i did noticed that the back seat fuse box has a relay(no.51- Interior Lamps) that is running hot to the touch I pulled it and switched it out and it still runs hot I can`t remember what it controls at the moment, but this is puzzling....and i have another climate control module that i swapped out and still the same is there a connection in the upper dash that i could have pulled alose that is stopping the climate control from getting power? also my front door lights don`t work either the courttesy lights on the doors, the other interior lights work when you open the doors

The head unit and it are tied together on the DataBus, but not otherwise as far as I am aware....the climate control does communicate with the IPM (instrument Panel Module) as well....if you cut a wire, did you check both fuse boxes, (hood and under back seat)? Is it possible you might have cut another wire or shorted something out during install?

Yes I did check both fuse boxes, and yeah I did cut one wire that I fixed ,but there was another wire that I cut but it did not look cut but it was and the problem,it was hanging on by the insulation but inside the insulation the wire was cut so it was fixed... now everything works like its suppose to. :bwoohoo:
