What's your budget?

The front door size for the 92-99 is 5.25" with 6X9s in the rear shelf. I'd suggest some components (mid and tweeter) for the doors and any 6X9 for the rear. You can probably get away with replacing all the speakers for around $100 if you go through Soniceletronix.

A lot of it depends on your particular sound preferences and musical tastes. Personally if I had to have only one speaker size, I'd do 6x9, as my general sound preferences are better achieved by a quality 6x9. So in my 95 Park Avenue, I modified the speaker brackets in the doors away from the 5.25 components of the Concert II sound system in favor of a nice pair of coaxial Rockford Fosgate 6x9s. This was mostly because I didn't like the way the stock system clearly sounded like any and all bass was coming from behind me, so it brought a more full sound stage up towards the front of the car. If you generally like the way the stock system sounds as far as sound staging, then a simple speaker upgrade of the same size may be all you're looking for, in which case a nice set of 5.25 components and 6x9s would do you well. If you don't want to spend the money on components, there are plenty of great sounding coaxial 5.25s.

As for brands, if your primary focus is cheap, I've always liked the entry level Pioneer line for the great value. Kicker also has a really nice entry level line. If you want to spend a bit more, I would highly recommend the 5.25" Polk Audio db series component system for their clean smoothness and overall balanced sound. They have a very well-respected 6x9 coaxial as well, though I tend to prefer the Rockford Fosgate P1692 for the same reasons as mentioned before for the Polk components. For the most part, you can't go wrong with any mid-level name brand aftermarket speaker, as their sound differences are largely preferential.
