id like to replace my outdated factory headunit with an aftermarket eclipse CD8445. but i would like to retain the steering controls. dings etc. i want it done the right way you know? i know ill need the GMOS 09. and the PACSWIX adapter.. is there anything else i will need or is that all the wiring harness required? i dont know how either is set up. but im getting my cousin to hook it up and i want to have all of the wires and everything ready when i take the car to him. thanks alot for any help. if it matters. ill be hooking up cdt 6.5 door speakers in the front on an elemental designs amp. disconnecting the rear 4 speakers and using a 15 inch soundsplinter sub on 1000w memphis amp

that should get the deck in. Again you need to trim behind the radio (in most cases), Be carfull not to damage the wires behind there. i used a Dremmel and a wide flat head screwdriver and chizzled it out with a hammer once all the wires were cleared out of the way. I used a Metra steering wheel adapter.. it will need to be manually programmed to make the buttons all work exactly like stock but the auto learn will get most of them correct.
