So I think it's about time the LSS got some better gear audio-wise, and I already have most of the gear which I had yoinked from the '87, but still need the adapters for steering controls and chimes.
Can anybody help with part #'s on these, searched some threads, but didn't see them off the top, I shall continue looking though. RPO's are UK3 steering wheel controls, UP0 deck and UW6 speaker set.

Any recommendations on setup with this gear? I'm curious if a power dist block is in order. Any and all advice welcomed!

What I have so far:

JBL 6x9's
Blaupunkt PCxb462 4x6 dash
Phoenix Gold 10 inch sub in cheap-o box
Pioneer 480W 4 channel amp
JVC KD-R900 HU (30,000 colors)
1 Farad power cap

Did the sound in my lss very recently, unfortunately i lost the steering controls as the stock stereo acts as the controller for the wheel buttons, they run through the wiring harness. As for the deck you need a gm adapter plate, (plastic piece that fits like Crap) check sonic electronics for the part number. Front door speakers your going to need to make a baffle or buy some dynamat and seal off the housing that comes stock in the doors, leave them open and they wont sound good at all. rear speakers are pretty easy to change i got rid of mine left the holes empty so when my sub goes in the bass travels through. kind of like rear deck ports. other than that its smooth sailing.

if you went the route that i did which is make a baffle out of dynamat (easiest way) be forewarned that dynamat has some funny sound properties and will make your mid range sound exponentially louder tones from 200hz -600 hz tune down accordingly with your deck eq to make it sound accurate.
