I was just wondering and was wanting some opinions... Does anyone know of the best sounding component speakers to put in the front doors??

Polks are awesome for the money. Alpines seem to be popular as well.

I have had many alpines, type r's, type x refs, and type x pros. I have also installed polk mm's in a friends car. I like the type x pros the best, but for the money the polk mm's are a very close second.

With components, I'd say your best bet is to go to the shop and play with some. I have some MTX 8000 6.5's that I never would have considered a few years ago until I listened to them.

What else have you done to the system? Are you running the factory headunit? If you are using the stock amp i am not sure any component system will perform as well as it should. You should be looking for a component system that has an impedance of 2ohms, most likely infinity will be the best choice. I would try looking at infinity's reference components since they are less powerful then the kappas. But i am still concerned that the bose amp wont run them very well

There are alot of good choices out there, all depends on your ears. Some like different things in their speakers.

Personally I like MB Quart, their highs are much more crisp to my ears (enjoyably) most others are too raspy to me.

I also have heard alot of good JL components, MTX, Pioneer, and Alpine are all right up there for me.
