I missed having my iPod hooked up in my car so I finally broke down and bought a cassette adapter because I was tired of burning so many CDs. Here's the link: http://www.meritline.com/4-head-sound-c ... apter.html

I tried it out and it didn't work initially because of the auto reverse mechanisms in the tape player and the cassette adapter. I took apart the cassette adapter and fixed the problem by taking out the piece that causes it to auto reverse. Put it in and it worked just fine. It's been working absolutely fine for about a week but I've ran into problems today.

As I hopped into my car and turned everything on today, I noticed that the cassette adapter wasn't working. I could hear that it wasn't turning the tape inside. I tried everything I could and followed all of the directions in the owner's manual. I held down the tape button until it said it was ready, turned the car off and on again, but nothing worked. I can't even get the cassette adapter to eject!

This is driving me nuts right now. Any help is appreciated. Thanks guys!

If I take out the radio, will I need some sort of code when I put it back in? If so, how do I get that code?

Well, my one backlight in the display also decided to crap out on me today. Just lovely. Looks like I'll be using Haro's instructions soon to try to fix it.

I'm pretty sure haro would know about the radio code (if there is one).

As long as you replace your radio with the same one, you will not have to reset the code. If you ever want to switch radios with another stock radio, you'd either have to go to a dealer or have someone with a Tech II to reset it.
