I'm debating whether changing the brakes myself..Is it possible to just compress the caliper and drop in new pads?

I've done it on other cars but not with ABS. I dont understand the system enough to understand.

I was thinking a large C-Clamp with a block of wood to put the caliper piston back in the "full open" position.

Anything else I should be concerned with? I dont want to bleed them.

I use a 6" C-clamp when I do mine, but I think a 4" would do the job.

I usually leave the pad in place, push the piston back, then move on.
