Year and Trim: 2002 Bonneville SSEi
Hello, I’m new to the forum. A little over a month ago I bought a 2001 SSEi and it’s been a real treat. I had a ‘96 SE before hand and I loved that car so much, it was my inspiration to get the one I have now lol. It’s one big issue was it didn’t have working heat, and the previous owner had the GREAT idea to remove the actuators and hardware for both the driver and passenger. Just today I got the time to put them both in and test them. The drivers side works as it should, but the passenger side will cycle from hot to cold every few seconds. I tried disconnecting the battery to see if it needed to re-learn the positions and it didn’t work. Any suggestions on how to fix this?

Also just a side question out of curiosity. Should you be able to turn one side of the fans off? Like for instance, if my passenger gets too hot, should I be able to turn just that side of heat off or am I misinterpreting something?

Hey there! Welcome to the forums.

The passenger side "off" when you push in the temp knob seems like it would turn off that side, but in reality it just returns the pass side to the same temp as the driver side, effectively disabling the dual zone.

Ah okay, this car’s interior is like a spaceship to me lol compared to what I’ve had before. Do you know what brand passenger blend door actually works? I bought the Four Seasons one off RockAuto and today it decided to stop cycling all together and stay cold

I do not. I'm actually still on original blend doors with no issues at 245K miles. Hope I didn't just jinx it. Lol

Look up Harofreak00 on here or search for Bonnevilles Unlimited. He should likely have a known good used one.
