Make sure your front and rear door seals are good.

I have no sunroof and I kept getting water in the back. It was actually the front door that was leaking and got water in.

The doors seal at 2 points; inside the door itself with plastic sheeting and again at the rubber seals which surround the door.
When the water seeps inside, it often runs down a weld (behind the plastic trim) and under the carpet.
There is also the possibility of leaking welds, especially the "gutter" that runs above the doors.
Next up is a rear windshield leak.

It sometimes takes a bit of detective work to figure out the source of leaks.

Huge number of threads about the door leaks, this one with pics: viewtopic.php?f=43&t=11470
