I have a 2004 bonneville SE w 3.8L v6. It died on me as I was driving to work the other day a couple mile from home. When I turn the key to restart it, it'll start, run for a couple seconds then shut down. I have tried a few of the suggestions I've seen of the forum, tried different keys, disconnected the battery, left the key on for 10 minutes,... etc. My buddy says its the antitheft system but the security light is not on. Please help if you can, thanks in advance.

Welcome to the forums.

There are many causes of a non-start issue. Fuel pump, MAF sensor, ICM issues. I'd start with unplugging the MAF and see if anything changes. Any codes showing up or Service Engine Soon light?

First thing to do is scan for any hidden codes. If there are no stored codes I would hook up a fuel pressure gauge and see if you are losing fuel pressure when it dies. If it is holding pressure as it dies you can eliminate fuel related issues, as well as security system issues.
