Long story short changed my mode actuator with a new Gm one. It came with the cam on end also. Well I put the van and all on. In the process I think I didn’t get the fingers lined up correct or missed putting one in. Anyone ever put a cam on before? How do I line them up? Thanks 2000 ssei

I dealt with this one time when a customer tried to do it himself and messed up the cam alignment. The only way I could figure out how to get it back together correctly was to reference a completely different airbox removed from a car. Luckily I did take a picture so I could look at my phone while I was under the dash. Take careful note of everything.

So is there a special position to put them in? Or is it just trial and error? Any tips on how to do it while still in the car?
