So, while driving home from work this evening, I came upon a right-hand turn I had to make at a red light. I stop, then go. Spin the tires a bit on accident, and then start driving along. However, now my oil pressure sensor is off a bit. Normally it sits around 40, maybe 3 to 4 pegs above. Now, it sits at the big peg in-between 40 and 120, maybe 2 to 3 pegs above that. Engine ran fine, nothing suspicious under the hood; the sensor was reading normally before this turn. My sensor went bad, didn't it? Mind you, it isn't pegged at 120.

That being said, would it be easier for me to replace the sensor, or to take it to a shop? If I take it to a shop, I'll see if they can do another thing or two to her.

(Note: I read the common problem write-up about this.)

It is a super easy replacement, it sits just above the oil filter. They are relatively cheap, so I'd save and do it yourself.

It is an easy fix.
I bought a 27mm deep socket that works great.
