I am thinking of trying LED low beam headlights on my 2005SLE.
Getting older I cannot see as well at night like I used to.
Has anyone tried the LED headlights?
If so what is the best brand or best website to go to?
Or is there a part number that I can order?
The ones I am looking at suggest an in-line capacitor.($10.00 extra charge)
They say they are plug & play to install.
Will these LED headlights cause any problems or issues?
Any input would be appreciated.
Thanks.

The LEDs will cause glare for other drivers, and make it really hard for you to see if it's raining or snowing.

I have the same model LED bulbs in two vehicles. My G8 has stock halogen projectors, and my wife's van has typical halogen reflectors. The G8 got a decent improvement with the LED bulbs. The van, I dare say, is even better with its normal reflector style and the LEDs. Glare doesn't seem to be an issue, neither of us are getting flashed by other drivers (which sometimes used to happen when I had H9 halogens in the van instead of the stock H11). I was concerned about potential problems during precipitation, but I feel like I can always see really well. I've been really happy with them.

My tip from experience would be: if you do get a set, DO Not get the ones with 4 faces that promise 360 degree lighting. You will get glare and unfocused headlight beams. Get the kind that have a pair of diodes 180 degrees apart. Many have adjustable mounting flange rings that help you make sure the beam spread is horizontal like it should be.
