I have a 2001 Bonneville SLE. I had this code P0131, read up on it and decided to replace o2 sensor bank1 sensor1. I replaced it with an AC Delco o2 sensor. I disconnected the battery and reset the car but all it does is start up for a few seconds sputters then dies. I checked the o2 sensor fuse and it was fine. Does any one have any idea what it could be? Thanks.

I know whats wrong with it now. After reading over some other posts on here I disconnected the MAF sensor and the car started right up. My scan tool was giving me a P0131 code. So I don't know maybe both sensors were bad. My O2 sensor had 80,000 miles probably was time to replace it anyway. So I just ordered another MAF sensor. If anyone ever has a car that will not start disconnecting the MAF sensor is a good way to trouble shoot. :thumbleft:

You could just have loose/bad connections or terminals in the plug itself. Jiggle the connector while it's connected to the MAF.
