Hello,

I think my rear compressor for the shocks is no longer working on my 2001. Has anyone had success with the conversion kits out there to eliminate the air ride?

Also, when the car is first started it idles high in drive (gear).

I can go about 20-25mph without touching the gas.

Any clues what I should check first?

Take the air intake tube off, and the maf screen if you can, and see if the throttle plate is gunked up and not fully closing. Or the idle air control valve could be binding. Take it out, clean it with some throttle body cleaner. Hold the throttle plate open and hose that down with the TB cleaner spray too.

I will try this weekend.

best to have a rag handy to soak up the solvent over-spray - I killed a cat by dumping tb cleaner while running.

keep the engine off while cleaning - you can also jack up the car on pass side so the over-spray will drain out the TB opening to your rag
