Year and Trim: Looking at a 2000 SSEI with 124,000

This is my wife's DD.

She was driving it Sunday and no problem.

Tried to start it up on Monday and it won't run.

Engine cranks but will not start unless I press the accelerator.

When I lift my foot of the accelerator it stumbles and stops running.

There is no service engine light and the car has not set any codes.

The plugs and wires are new within the last 12 months, new ICM within the last 3 months. Just changed out the ICM today (it was under warranty) because I felt the symptoms were similar to the problem I had earlier this year that required I replace the ICM.

A/C Delco fuel pump replaced within the last 12 months.

Supercharger rebuilt within the last 3 years.

At a loss of where to check next.

Need some help to get this car back on the road again.

Unplug the MAF sensor.

x2 on unplug the Maf - and if it indeed solves the issue, you can try cleaning the maf wires.

Unplugged the MAF and no effect.

Any other ideas?

I noticed that the boost on the supercharger wasn't very high at 2000 rpm.

Removed the supercharger belt and no change.

Unless I keep my foot on the accelerator and keep the rpm >750 the engine dies.

I have new vacuum hose to the T under the snout of the supercharger.

Could the fuel pump have failed? It is a new within the last 6-9 months AC Delco.

How can you test the IAC?

From other posts I've seen in the past few minutes, the symptoms my car is having are similar to another guy who had a bad IAC.

Any way to test that?

I'm gonna say vacuum leak now. Since you were messing with the lines when you did the new T under the snout, maybe you bumped and cracked a fitting?

It was the IAC.

When I removed it, the plunger was extended all the way. :banana:

Put the new one in and the car ran like it should.
