Hi all, so I get this code and the cat monitor and HO2 wont get ready

what should the volts read at idle and at 2000 rpm - I understand the mean is .45v so what range am I supposed to have on it so I know its the O2 sensor that's wonky?

thanks...

Slow O2 response is a judgement that the PCM makes that sometimes can be seen with a scanner, but sometimes it can't. I'd replace the downstream O2 with a name brand part (they're pretty cheap for your car), and erase the code. It should run the cat. monitor then

OK, THANKS FOR THE INPUT, I have a scanner that gets volts

the volts stay in the range of .435 and .550 at idle in open loop

is this range too small?

OK, FOUND : If the signal received from rear (#2) O2 sensor indicates that the voltage has "stuck" between .425V to .474 V, the PCM determines this sensor is inactive and this code will set.

so I guess ill call GM for a price......thanks

Name brand like Denso from Advance or A Zone should be fine. Usually looking at those in closed loop, so I don't know about open loop. PCM doesn't have real good control of air/fuel in open loop. Once in closed loop and the converter's warmed up, I would expect the voltage to be a bit lower and not moving around much...if the cat is any good. Good luck

ok, I cleared the codes and went for a drive and now po 140 and 137 so thats enough diagnostic for me - under 1\2 throttle i get from .015 - and when I let off the gas quick, she should run a bit rich but the volts never pass .465 - even at full throttle

GM wants 125
rock auto delivered is 65
