2002 ssei w 65,000 miles.

1st. Key problem first, turn key and starter doesn't engage. If you wiggle key and flip it around and keep wiggling it will start. If you jumper the starter, it will run. Could tranny be rebuilt cause this or is this just a ignition switch? Had the tranny rebuilt couple months ago but now I can't trust it to start. Definetly not a starter, battery issue.

2nd and 3rd. Noticed I was only getting air from hvac out the defrost, no floor and no vents. Probable been like that a couple weeks. Now I'm only getting COLD air out defrost. Car is full of coolant, not running hot or unusual in any way. Not sure where to start because nothing seems to be working correctly on the HVAC.

Sounds like an ignition cylinder to me.

HVAC issue is more than likely a blend door actuator.

I'd try a new ignition switch - get one from Bonnevilles Unlimited. When my switch went bad I had all kinds of whacky things going on, including HVAC issues. I can't 'splain it, but all those things went away with the replacement switch.

so, you're saying this no crank issue started AFTER trans repair?

before you go throwing parts at her, please check the ignition wiring under the hood - could be something was roughed up when the trans work was done

you tried a spare key? if the key is worn badly, it may be the issue

the reason I would tend to suspect the trans repair is that the pcm( computer) is in the airbox directly above the trans bell housing mounting.

see if there is damage to the wires coming from engine into air box - there are around 50+ looks like to me

this is contingent and only applies if the no crank issue began directly after the trans repair-
cant hurt to have a look see.

No start is fixed, it was the starter solenoid. Went bad in driveway and started when had key turned and tapped the starter with a hammer.

Look at the HVAC actuators with a Tech 2 and they all appear to move to the desired location. It still only blows out the defrost ducts. I think that is the Modal actuator. Looking at the pictures from this forum, think its up high behind the glove box on the center console side Is there any better pictures of the location?

Did you try a HVAC motor calibration? If you already replaced it, still a good idea to do the calibration with the new motor.

Just ordered a new actuator, will update when I install. This isn't horrible but its really hard to reach up beside the gas pedal. I'll try and get some install pictures.

I assume if I a play with the tech II some more I will find the calibrate screen?
