Hello -

2000 Bonneville with manual heater / AC controls. With the engine running and Turning the knob from cold to hot - the Heater Blend Door Actuator does not rotate. I use to hear a clicking noise that came from under the dash and I now assume the noise was from the gear slipping inside the actuator.

Can someone let me know if this is a simple change out by just removing the electric connector and the two screws or is there more to it? I ordered a replacement from Rockauto and it should be here by this weekend. I have seen posts but they were for the climate control type.

Has no one ever replaced a manual heater blend door actuator ?

It is the same procedure as with the automatic system. Remove the electrical connection, and the screws. Unless it was previously replaced, and someone lost a screw, there should be 3 of them.
