I have a 2005 Bonneville SE with 110,000 miles, this is the second Bonne I own, I also have a 2001 with 289,000 miles. I purchased the 05 in Feb of 16, this problem just started, please let me know if you have any ideas: with the drivers door open, and you start the car, then close the drivers door, 3 of the 4 power windows and power locks will not operate from the switch or remote, yet the drivers window and drivers door locks and unlocks. Open and close the door (not slamming the door) and all the door locks and windows work properly. When this issue happens, even the remote control will not lock and unlock all the doors, only the drivers door. One other odd thing, when the locks and windows do not work, the gas pedal has a hitch in it when pressed, it is not smooth, when you open and close the drivers door and all systems work, the gas pedal is smooth when you press it, and I know this is a cable operated throttle body, not electronic, and Ideas?? I am stumped!! Thank you!

Welcome to the club!

As a start, I'd check on the rubber boot between the car body and the door to see if has kinked the wiring in any way.

Not sure on the correlation with the gas pedal. Might also wanna pop the hood and check on the operation of the throttle body. It might be severely gunked up or the cable is binding on something.

Coming from another proud Pontiac owner (by the way,my wife has a GP) thank you for the info, I will look into that and let you know! I can tell you yes, that boot has a kink in it, I will see if that is the problem.

The problem won't be the kink in the boot, but possibly broken wires inside the boot.

yes, moved that boot and the windows and locks started working again, I can fix that no problem, I thought the problem would have been in the door module so will check the harness wires and the connectors, thanks all

OK, found and fixed the problem and here is what it was. As I stated when the opened and closed the drivers door the power door locks and power windows on all but the drivers door stopped working, so because I have a 2001 parts Bonne, I pulled the door module and the switch from the drivers door and tried them both not luck. So I pulled the door wire harness out of the A pillar and opened it, I found a Tan/White 24 ga wire broke in half and 2 other wires chaffed, straightened all wires, taped the chaffed wires and repaired the broken wire. tested the harness first before fishing back through the door and A pillar, all worked fine! A hint on why this happened, this harness says right on it, "Assembled in Mexico" there is not enough stress relief and it is way to tight in the boot, so I did not plug in the wire anchors closest to the door jam to make sure the harness is not pulled to tightly and this will keep this from happening again!!!
