My daughter has a 2000 Bonne (VIN K)....AC had been working just great.....then today she comes home and the windows all fogged up in the rain/humidity of the day. I discovered the AC Compressor was not functioning.....I started looking for the low pressure switch which is normally near the Receiver/Dryer but being dark I could not locate it..... I wanted to jump the terminals just to see if the compessor would kick on for a few seconds (Save me the time to check wiring in the dark...etc...) I could not find the switch..... I do see the High Pressure Switch attached to the high side near the compressor, but could not find the low side switch...... Where is that switch so when it gets light in the morning, I can find it quickly???

Don't know how accurate this is, but here's what the Advanced Auto Parts website says (two answers): A: The air switch is located under dash on passenger side on the side kick plate.

A: On the high pressure line between the fire wall on the passenger side under the hood and the "receiver and dehydrator assembly", below the larger diameter low pressure line running toward the radiator. It is screwed into a schrader valve and can be taken out - without vacing the CF134a. It has a three pin connector.

Found the problem without the switch.....the magnetic coil pick up behind the compressor clutch has gone bad.
