I've read a few threads, not sure if this is a low pressure situation or not.

And when I say hot, I mean you could boil an egg.

If it's the blend door, how hard is that to get to?

Thanks in advance.

Oops, just saw the common problems thread and there it was.

Now, how hard is it to pull that unit out? I'd replace all the actuators at this point if they aren't terribly expensive.

I doubt it's pressure, more than likely it's the actuators. They shouldn't be too expensive. Andrew can probably hook it up.

You need to take apart the center console. Not especially difficult, but a little time consuming.

Is there a write up for that?

I pulled apart a lincoln dash to replace one, took seven hours and a few pounds of knuckleflesh. I'm hoping it's not that involved, but I'm not optimistic.

Both air-mix actuators are relatively easy to replace. The passenger side is the easier one. Remove the glove compartment, and you'll be able to see the actuator. You could remove it that way, but would be easier to remove the lower dash panel also, so you can work from there, and view through the opening for the glove compartment.

The driver's side, remove the lower dash panel and look up toward the center of the dash and you'll see the driver's side actuator. You may have to move another module out of the way to get at it more easily. Also, remove the panel below the steering column. You'll be working from the driver's side foot-well and it's a bit cramped.
