Thinking of upgrading to red LED back lighting. looking around on eBay, but I need to know how many bulbs the cluster has before I decide to commit to buy.

Any help is appreciated.

Thank you

Search for the thread for replacing the cluster motors.

Not sure if you can even replace the bulbs with LEDs. Hopefully Andrew will chime in, he knows this stuff.

If you can find 12v LED"s or add in your own resistors, its possible. But there is no point, the back lighting is already red?

Furthermore, from what I understand, the color will not change with different bulbs.

I am not looking to change the color of my lights. All I want to do is put longer-lasting bulbs in there.

Mine all still work, and Andrew can replace them with incandescents like OEM. Which will probably outlast the car.

Yeah if you put the original style bulbs back in there, you'll get another 100k out of them.

Well the car has almost 150 k. There are some bulbs that are out. And seeing as LEDs last longer, I may as well get them.

It's really not necessary, but suite yourself. LED's will be 5x more expensive and probably not diffuse the light as good.
