I tried to take a video of it, but it is too faint for my phone to pick it up. It doesn't sound like a distinct knock sound, it sounds more like a rattle than a knock and Iv'e only been able to hear it so far with the car in park or N. Doesn't matter if the engine is cold or warmed up and it seems to be coming from the bottom of the engine and it most noticeable under the car. It goes away under 1k rpm's, and when you get up near 2k rpm's.

Could be the harmonic balancer. The rubber in them can deteriorate and let it rattle. Grab one of the serpentine belts (with the car off) and see if you can move it along it's path by hand. Also get a flashlight and look to see if it looks at all cracked on the outer face near the rim. The face is often painted so it's hard to tell, but there's an outer hub, a rubber middle section, and a metal inner hub. There are teeth buried inside that keep the outer hub spinning if the rubber fails. Those teeth can make quite a racket when the rubber cracks all the way around.

If your phone can't pick the noise up it isn't the harmonic balancer, those sound like the bottom end is going to come apart, a phone would surely pick that rattle up.

Maybe the catalytic converter or downpipe rattling? Go underneath and give the cat a good swat and see if it rattles at all.

Give it some quick revs not a constant RPM... you should be able to hear any knocking better that way.

I don't hear it any better with quick revs. It's weird that it's only audible between 1-2k rpm's...only underneath the car.

Loose TC bolts? Simple to inspect.

It seems the loudest around the oil pan area. I stuck my head under there while someone held the rpm's at 1500 or so. I mean im not 100% sure thats exactly where its coming from. It doesn't 100% sound like a knock, it only does it at certain rpm range which doesn't make sense to me. But the only semi logical explanation is rod bearing knock.
