2003 ssei recently replaced cat, mass air flow, and O2 sensor (downstream), engine has about 38k miles on it. Replaced engine mounts last summer. Not seeing any codes, checked all hoses for leaks, none. Car runs great with moderate acceleration, but if you jump on it , it really breaks up. The bolt under the coil paks was over torked and broke. Wires and plugs 38k, car doesn't use any oil or antifreeze, oil pressure about 40 at idle. Sort of driving me nuts.

Will repair the bolt under coil pack this week.

What do you think?

Does it seem like a misfire or more hesitation? Also is the engine rebuilt or what?

Reman. engine quoted wrong milade only 20k on engine, more of a misfire. I'm thinking coil pack or icm.

Check your plugs and wires anyways. You never know.

Check the fuel pressure at idle with and without the vacuum line on the fuel pressure regulator.

Both of my 2003 SLE's have an issue when you jump on it. Both well maintained and in great running condition. 40-50MPH push pedal to floor and the vehicle is a tiger until about 4200-4400 RPM and it just starts stumbling and bucking. Seems not so prevaelant at lower speeds. Only thing I have not checked is fuel pressure. Too cheap to buy a gauge. Both have new fuel filters.

There are $20 varieties of pressure gauges out there.
