My 2000 SLE drivers seat's leather is shot. It has taken a beating cracking etc from the previous owner (nothing any leather care product will help), its not horrid but not great either. In any case there's a 2001 wreck with the same color leather a local guy is parting out. I can get the power drivers seat, on the cheap. Figured now's my chance to replace. Is there a tutorial on removing and re-installing ? I looked but could find none, via search. As always thanks in advance guys!

LOTS of Mods
its really pretty simple.

There are 4 bolts and a connector that hold the seat in the car.

the most important thing is the Airbag that is in the seat. You will want to get into the rear fuse block under the rear seat and pull the fuse for the airbag. Wait at lease 15 min before you do anything else.

After the wait is over, move the seat the entire way back, there will be black plastic covers, slide them towards the front of the car to remove, remove the T45 or T50 bolt.

Move the seat all the way forward, there will be a bolt in the track that goes into the side of the B pillar and also one that is covered by plastic that goes into the floor, same sized bolt.

Last but not least move the seat back to about the middle of its travel, remove the connectors from the front side of the seat. Put your head and body where the pedals are and unclip them.

Be aware the Drivers sear weighs about 70-80 LBS.

Here's a pic of the plastic caps for the seat bottoms. I used a screwdriver and a pick to lift the tabs on the black ones to slide them out.

I didn't disconnect anything when I removed my seats, and had no issues. Airbags are usually much adieu about nothing, unless you somehow jump the connections. They're just a circuit that either gets grounded, or get powered when the sensor detects an impact.
