As I look to replace my front struts on my 2002 SLE, decided to give the rear air shocks a look. At first I thought that they were the originals, but they are white and look like the Monroe rear replacement shocks- the MA822s. The AC Delcos look like they were painted black, based on pictures that I have seen. So I now think that my rears were changed to Monroes at some point.

Am I correct? Any info would be appreciated. Also any thoughts on the Monroe Senatracks front struts?

Also, for you Connecticut Bonneville fans, just noticed a 2003 SSEI at a New London Car Dealer at Cars.com.

I too have Monroes and they are white. I replaced them a while back.

The outer steel looks a bit pitted, but the rears work and the cars behind handles well. Since the air system still works, I am not going to replace these just now. I will do the fronts first.

What brand did you use for the front struts?
