Is a 2001 bonneville designed to have a front license plate?
If so how do I remove the pontiac cover? and will I have to have anything extra?
Im a college football fan and Ive always had a USC Gamecocks tag on the front of all my vehicles. Ive had this car since the fall of 2012 and its time for a tag. If it has a place for one. Thanks!

There are 2 retainer clips on the bottom of the plate cover. Remove them and then angle the cover up to release the tabs.

You can put a license plate anywhere, with enough duct tape!

Andrew can verify this, but I think there's also a bracket you'll need to install after you take the cover off. I have a front plate (required in UT) on my car, but I can't remember if there's a bracket...it was too long ago.

No bracket, you may need to go to your local parts store and get the square plastic threaded inserts and screws, however. A 4 -pack is usually a dollar or two.

yep. did it on mine ('02 SE). then again mine never came with the plate cover in the first place. so all I have is an old license plate backwards, tinted cover, and a frame to hold it all... until I think of a custom plate of some sort I may like

Must've been my '93 that needed a bracket then. I'd just look on my '03, but my wife usually has it driving the wheels off it.
