I have spark and fuel ,when it turns over it sounds like a riding lawn mower. could I have washed down the cylinder wall and lost my compression? Replaced head gaskets, had the heads done. If I had no compression will the car not start?

No compression no start, but it's hard to believe that is the issue. You get the plug wires right?

Have you checked for codes>

Did the front compression check, nothing on 1 and 5 ,3 had 25psi. Tomorrow Im going to pull the valve cover and make sure the valves are not sticking. When they-NAPA- did the heads they said the guides were bad. Not impressed with NAPA because it took 3 weeks on the heads and they did work on them and didnt bother to call to get it OK from me. Also filled the cylinder with air and it didnt leak out to the other ones so im kinda at a lost. And yes the wires are on right. Thanks for asking any question will help.

Hmm, they did the heads, what do you have in there for rockers? I'm wondering if those valves are even closing all the way? I would check valve lash. If that is okay, I'm wondering about the lifter just not being pumped up. How long did you crank it for?

+1 for valve adjust or related problem. If the cylinder holds air at TDC the valves are probably opening early/closing late during spinning the motor.

everything is stock, was I suppose to check anything when I installed the rocker arms?I did not pull the lifters out when I pulled the heads.I could see the rocker arms move when I put the push rods back but I didnt think of checking the valves. I thought that it was done at a shop and they would of checked there work before giving them back.

Well, there are several issues you could be dealing with. Did you reuse the bolts for the rockers? How much did they take off the head.... this changes the height of the pedestal (in effect) can cause the valves to not close fully or at all. At least that is my understanding. Please correct me if I am wrong guys. What procedure did you use for all aspects of the project. There are to many variables here and it feels like you just bolted everything back in without a correct procedure.

It runs yes it runs. It was dry rings,I put some oil in the spark plug holes and it started. I thank the Lord and all the help you guys gave. Now the em says no oil pressure and the gauge says 120 psi. Engine sounds good so it does have oil and its not knockin.

Seems the lifters should be able to make up for normal machining but it is possible they removed enough the valves wouldn't seat. Grinding the valve and seat also changes geometry. No idea how to check it. Double and triple check the lash procedure.

At what RPM is the 120PSI ?

Yes. Like I said in the other thread, I look at it like a heart attack. Waiting to hear engine damage or not doesn't seem like a good way to go.
