I want to learn how to replace the lights / bulbs behind the radio in my 2005 Bonneville. I don't see any screws to remove, from the dash board or trim around the radio?
Please tell me how to get to the lights/bulbs behind the radios display. ...... for the display is 2/3 dark and I can no longer make out what station the radio is set on or any other words in the display.
_______________Thank you___

This is super! what a very helpful posting! thank you!
I would like to ask ... were you able to verify if the 2174 bulbs from radio shack will work or not?.. so that all the bulbs can be purchased at radio shack or not?
thank you!

I forgot to ask this: The buttons on my radio have some kind of 'blacking' on them and I think the plastic is actually red and thus the reason why I see the controls to be labeled in Red. Yours is perhaps the same way.... Any how, on mine, some of that black is now gone and there is too much red exposed so that one cannot make out clearly what the button is labeled as? can you tel me how to or what to use to replace the missing 'blackin' areas?
i hope I'm making sense in describing this. let me know if not.
Thanks !

2174 bulbs will work for the display.

There is no fix for worn radio buttons, they must be replaced.
