Hey guys new to the forum here. I currently have a 2003 Bonnie SLE and looking to put a L67 into it out of a 2000 Buick grand park ave ultra.

I talked with a guy from ZZP and from what he said it only sounds like i need to have my PCM flashed and swap the drive axles.

Has anyone ever done one of these swaps before? I just want to be aware of any other issues that need to be addressed with this swap.

I'm also looking at putting in a XP cam, double roller, 3"DP, CAI and prob a 3.6 or 3.4 pulley, plugs, wires and a 180 thermo.

Any help would be appreciated.

Long live the Bonnie enthusiasts!

Wait, are you swapping the entire drivetrain and wiring? You'll only need the tune and passenger side axle, really. And swap over the Bonne accessories and mounts.

I would do a look into a turbo setup... It will be a lot less work for more power. There are plenty of turbo L36's. zzp and cartuning make a kit

My l36 is pretty much shot. Mains leak oil and it needs all new gaskets through out the motor, its pretty weak. I was just going to swap the engine and trans. My dad totaled his grand park ave and im getting it for practically nothing so i figured it was a good way to go... and cheap!

LOTS of Mods
DO NOT get the MSD Coils, they are worse than your Stock L36/L67 Coils.

If you want to upgrade, get some OEM L67 Coils

Ok, so you're right on the edge of town. I'm currently by the airport on French Island. We're definitely gonna have to meet up!

Just about every time I see a mention of coils on here, guys say to stick with the stock AC Delco D576 coils. RockAuto has them for $48 a piece plus shipping (you won't have tax since you're in MN).

A missfire doing 110mph?? Could that be the speed limiter kicking in? (I'm assuming there is one) Where the heck are you that you're going that fast?
Yeah, I do a little. I currently have a 1984 Honda Nighthawk S (CB700SC); the blue & black paint scheme, not the red & black. I've had it for 3 or 4 years now. Someday I want get a Victory. (sorry if you're a Harley fan, but I'm not really)

I honestly don't know. If you run across someone, let me know!! The company that I had tune both my trucks isn't able to tune the Bonneville (which sucks because I really liked that guy and was happy with my tunes).

I'm not familiar with M in that area. The only M in that area I see on Google Maps runs from HWY 35 straight North to County K. Looks like the entire thing is a straight shot.

Shoulda gone with an Intense FWI.....

Just get a used set of L67 coils. The aftermarket ones aren't worth squat.

How did the swap go overall? Or did you have someone else do it for you?

Sweet! I didn't even know anyone around here had a dyno open to the public. Our tech school in town has one, but I don't know if it is open for non-students to use.

I looked up the part numbers at two different parts shops and the coils and icm have the same part numbers on both the l36 and the l67.

Its going pretty good i have been enjoying it. It seems to really like 93 octane rather than 91. fuel millage as been crap though but it feels strong.

yes beast i had someone else do it for me, i only have a small one car apartment garage with no electricity lol.
