I just bought an 02 SSEI and I was surprised in the lack of hot air being blown out on the floor. I do believe the blower motor is fine and I can hear it ramp up to speed. The vents work great. But the duct work for the floor is odd. I'm used to my other cars I have owned with tons of air flow out of the bottom duct work! My feet are getting cold! :dontknow:

You sure the settings are full flow to the floor? Does it cycle all the way down? Could be a bad actuator not allowing the floor vents to get the full volume of air.

It seems as though its switching, Im not sure how much though. The only place I really feel it coming out on the drivers side is a little bit on the far left, blowing down between your left knee and ankle. Nothing really coming from the center console area. On the passenger side, you can feel it blowing out of the front of the center console area with force. Help, my feet are getting cold! How do I trouble-shoot to see if it's an actuator? Thanks!

I found this link on the site, but I'm not really getting much from it. Can someone further embellish

HVAC controls
Problem: Only one side of the climate control is working. Ex: Drivers side is hot, passenger is cool. Or there is no heat, or no AC.
Solution: One thing to check first when the passenger side is cooler than the driver's side is the system charge. That seems to be a common symptom of a low charge. The other option is to diagnose and replace door actuator.

Estimated Cost: $20 for used actuator, plus labor costs ($?) the details as to isolating the exact issue please?
