i used the search and found other issues that people have had. mine is in the front floorboard not the rear. we had a really really hard rain today and when you open the door you can see water on the door seal thats attached to the body not the door, then it does under the plastic floor molding onto carpet. i hope the pic helps.

There is an issue with the frot door splash shields. Do a search for "front door splash shields" , should come up with a fix. I know it's been fixed before.

It's probably from a leaking water deflector in the door. Here's the write-up from techinfo.

I've done the water deflectors in all 4 doors and dont see a water track on the door sill like I was. I didnt put the interior back together just to make sure that I got the leak. Behold, still getting water. Like I said the water deflectors seem fine after redoing them, (no shortcuts were taken, very thoroughly done). It doesnt really seem like its from the door seals (door to body). I notice that the water seems to start accumulating in the trough between the front floor pan and the door sill (driver side). Then slowly fills the drivers side rear floor pan. What is the chance that this is a windshield sealing issue? I would love to get the carpet back in my car. Also would like to OSPHO the rust that is now all over the rear floor pan but no point until I find this leak. Thanks for any insight.

Do you have a sun roof?

Here's the bodyshop way of finding a leak:

Take the car to your local car wash. Leave your car running and turn on max air. Soap down the car really good, paying close attention to the jambs, window seals, etc. Look for rising soap bubbles...where air is escaping, water can get in.

No sunroof.

I'll have to try the soap method. Thanks, hopefully I will be able to pinpoint the leak. I'd rather not have the windshield remounted just to find out it wasnt the cause.

I believe somewhere up under the dash is where it is originating from. It has to be run off from somewhere. It doesnt fill up immediately when raining. So it has to be accumulating and then dripping in. I would revert back to the water deflectors except for the fact that i am getting no tracks. I have even used a flour water mixture, sprayed on and let dry to find tracks and still no luck.
